Weekly News April 5th

We're getting closer to our MAP testing date of April 14th. Once again we will be providing some incentives to help motivate our students to do their best. We will be doing a MAP Pep Rally on Monday the 12th to kick off our first testing week. It will be at 2:00 on Monday in the PAC. Please read last week's post to know what you can do to help your child do his/her best.

Our first track meet is this Thursday at West Platte. This meet is a little different, it is a Co-Ed meet. The boys and girls work together for their times and scores. Just a fun little pre-season meet.

Don't forget our community meeting on Wednesday to get feedback and information about a four-day school week and next year's budget concerns. 6:00 pm in the Middle School Performing Arts Center.

Weekly News March 29th

We are doing everything we can to prepare our kids for the MAP tests that begin on April 14th. We test one session in the morning and one session in the afternoon with some down time in between. All of our students will test on April 14 and April 15 and our 7th and 8th graders will also test on April 20 and 21.

Parents can help by stressing the importance of these tests, encouraging their children to do their best and making sure they get plenty of sleep on nights before testing.

Coach Tichenor sponsored a Hoops For Heart event last Friday. About 24 students in grades 6-8 raised around $1000 for the American Heart Association. Amanda Gannon was the winner of the shootout held last Friday during seminar. Susan Remmert raised the most money.

We are hosting a Four Day Week and Budget Forum next Wednesday, the 7th, at 6:00 p.m. in our Performing Arts Center. We thank those of you that have responded to our survey and thank you for any comments you have provided. Your input is definitely appreciated.
