We had a great first few days of school. Students and staff all worked very hard at learning our expectations and procedures.
We did have quite a bit of excitement to finish off our week though. We had a Tornado Warning at about 2:10 so we all packed into our shelter location for about 20 minutes. Overall, students were very patient and well behaved. Our phones were out for the rest of the afternoon, half of our rooms didn't have lights and/or electricity, the band room took on some water again and about a third of one of our big old trees in the front yard broke off, but other than those things, everything turned out fine.
We're looking forward to really getting it going next Tuesday! We'd love to hear how it went for your child. Questions, comments and concerns are always welcome!
