MAP Testing Complete

We are finished taking our MAP tests.  The kids all seemed to put out their best effort!  Let's hope the scores reflect that effort!

 

Science Olympiad to State Today!

Our Science Olympiad Team is leaving at 1:00 today to go to the state competition!  We're having a send off rally at 12:55 outside the South doors at 12:55!  (Hope it's not raining!)

School on Monday April 18th!

Don't forget we are having school on Monday April 18th and not on Friday the 22nd.

MAP Testing

We begin our all important MAP Tests on April 20th.  All students will test the mornings of April 20 and April 21.  Eighth graders will also test on April 26th.  Please make sure your child is well rested and has a good breakfast on those days.  (Come to think of it, those would be helpful everyday!)

Snow Creek Re-Scheduled

Our 8th grade trip to Snow Creek has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, March 2nd.

Middle School Music Program

The Lathrop Middle School Sixth grade classes will be presenting their annual music program on March 1, 2011, beginning at 7pm in the Performing arts center at Lathrop Middle School. Featured guests will be The Beatles, Little Richard, James Brown, Ed Sullivan and even Elvis himself!!


The public in invited to come and enjoy this musical program of the 50's and 60's entitled "Rock and Roll Forever" by John Jacobson and John Higgins. For more information, please contact Carmen Bennett, Vocal Music Teacher @ 816-528-7611 or by email. Admission is free.

P-T Conferences Feb. 7th

Second semester Parent-Teacher Coferences will be on February 7th from 2 - 7 p.m.  Everyone will receive a letter stating whether we really need to see you or not.  We may mail them Wednesday the 2nd if I can get to school!

Science Olympiad Takes 3rd!

The Science Olympiad Team consisting of 18 students between 6th and 9th grades took 3rd at the Regional competition in Maryville on January 30th.  This qualifies the team for the State competition for the first time in about 20 years!  Congrats to Coach Sherry Wolf and all of the students.  Check back for the complete list of competitors.
